I AM and closing the gap of who we believe we are

Words “I AM”

I AM – two simple yet powerful and all-encompassing words.

At the core, these two words sum up both what we are and what we believe we are.

In the purest form, “I AM” is a statement of what we are at the soul/oneness with all that is level. “I AM” is what we are. We are the totality. There is nothing we are not.

At the individualized human experience level, “I AM” in conjunction with the words we say after “I AM” is what we believe we are.

While the perceived gap between what we are at the oneness level and what we believe we are at the individualized human level can appear to be great, this is an illusion we have created for ourselves.

There is no gap. We only believe there is a gap.

We believe there is a gap (both at the individual and global level) because:

  • We believe we are separate.

  • We experience life on Earth as appearing to be separate from other life forms in part due to the limits of our 5 basic senses.

  • We believe the beliefs and mindsets we have in our mind and the on-going messaging of separateness we receive from others, the media, etc.

The good news is the gap can be narrowed if we choose.

We can do this (both individually and as a species) by:

  • Understanding that separation is an illusion —https://lisalayden.com/the-illusion-of-separation .

  • Understanding the human experience is just that, an experience ( https://lisalayden.com/are-we-here-to-learn-or-experience ) designed to help us better understand and experience aspects of the ‘self’.

  • Understanding the role beliefs and mindsets play in creating the gap and how they are simply perceptions we believe are true. (I’ll be sharing more about beliefs and mindsets in a future post).

  • Utilizing methods to replace lack based beliefs and mindsets at the individual level with empowering data for your brain to work with. (I’ll be sharing more about this in a future post).

  • At the global human level, teaching this as part of our basic education and forming new world systems that align with this understanding will go a long way to bridge the gap.

While bridging the gap may sound like a massive job, we simply need to start by seeing the separation for the illusion it is. Science, ancient teachings, religious texts all talk about the illusion. We simply need to listen, reconnect with the teachings and begin to live our lives with this understanding.

It’s time.
