Was It A Drop Or Something Else?

As you go about your day, it seems logical to believe that what you deduce about something you observe or experience is indeed a fact.

But is that true?

Instead, is it more often than not your perception of what you believe is the reality of a situation rather than fact? And that perception is based on your individual beliefs and mindsets?

Here’s an example to illustrate:

The other day I was out running errands. When I pulled the car into a parking spot I happened to notice a man walking along the sidewalk outside of a store.

He was dressed casually and was walking at a normal pace. On the path in front of him, was a waste bin about 4 feet high. He walked up to the bin, casually raised the wide slotted top just a bit and then proceeded to remove a black carrier bag from the bin. With the bag in his right hand, he continued to walk as if nothing unusual took place. A few steps later, he brought the strap up and placed the strap on his left shoulder allowing the bag to rest on his right side. He then turned the corner away from my view. It all happened without a hiccup and reaching into the bin seemed as natural and seamless as taking a breath.

I sat in my car processing what I had just witnessed. I was puzzled, to say the least. Immediately my brain came up with all kinds of thoughts to explain what my eyes had seen:

  • Was it a drug deal?

  • Was it a kidnapping ransom?

  • Was he a spy exchanging information?

  • Was he an informant being paid off?

  • Was it his personal carrier that he had temporary left so he didn’t have to take it into the store with him?

  • Did he just happen to notice the carrier bag in the bin and decide to help himself to it?

  • Did a friend arrange to leave it for him?

All kinds of possibilities came to mind. I can imagine as you are reading this, possibilities came to your mind as well.

What was the true reason?

I will never know.

The reason I share this experience with you is to provide an example of how your beliefs, mindsets and past experiences, influence your perception of what you believe is the reality of what you observe.

For example,

  • If I was a person who loved a great mystery or played off conspiracy theories I may believe that what I saw was a drug deal.

  • If I was a person who believed everyone was a good person, I may believe the man had temporarily left his bag in the bin and was simply coming back to pick it up.

Without the facts, your beliefs and mindsets create what you perceive to be the reality of a situation.

Not so sure?

What if I provided more information about what I saw?

Would you change your perspective if you knew the man was wearing high-end designer clothes versus dirty torn clothes; if it was early afternoon or late at night; if the area was in a well-off part of the city versus a high crime area?

Notice how your belief of what transpired may have changed with this additional information.

Without the facts, your beliefs and mindsets create what you perceive to be the reality of a situation.

This is why your perception of what you believe is reality, is unique to you.

The same goes for everyone.

We each create our own unique perception of what we observe and believe is reality.

With this understanding of how our brain perceives reality and incorporating facts into our deducing process, we individually and collectively can help to create a more cohesive reality for all.

We can move past the illusion of reality from the perspective of beliefs and mindsets to the illusion of reality from a quantum physics perspective.

How about you?

Have you had an experience you would like to share where what you deduced about a given situation was completely different than someone else who observed the same situation at the same time?

Can you see how your subconscious (and conscious) beliefs and mindsets and that of the other person played into what you both believed was the true reality of the situation?

Can you see how without the facts, each person created their unique reality of this situation and how expanding this understanding out, we each create our own unique experience of what we believe is reality (both individual and the global reality)?

I’d love to hear your experience.

‘Til next time if you liked this, please social share it. Together we can help create a global mind shift.
