What world issues are trying to show us

It doesn’t take much to see that while there is a lot of good in the world, there is no doubt we have a lot of very serious world issues. From human conflict (war, terrorism, extremism), inequality (racism, poverty, homelessness, human trafficking), ecological abuses (climate change, pollution, deforestation, animal exploitation), mental health issues (anxiety, suicide, addiction, spousal and child abuse) to name a few, the list of issues seems to be growing in volume and type.

But what if we take a step back and look at the issues from a different perspective by asking, “What are our world issues trying to show us individually and collectively as a species?”.

What are world issues trying to show us?

Are they trying to show us that we are a species forever based on conflict, division and separation or could it be something else?

What if the issues are ultimately trying to wake us up? To get us to finally see that we are intrinsically inter-connected to each other? To finally see that what we do to another, we ultimately do to ourselves because we are all one?

What if instead of the issues continuing to divide and destroy us, we get the message and wake up from the illusion of separation and say, “no more”.

What if the message in the issues actually unites us?

Imagine what that could mean for humanity and all life.

The question is, how long will it take for us to see the message? Will we wake up before it is too late?

Imagine the Global Impact

Imagine if everyone could see the message?

Imagine if each person helped others see it too?

How different would their individual lives be; how different would the global reality be?

Would we be more compassionate and united with others and all life?

Would world issues begin to be solved and ideally go away?

Imagine.

How about you?

Can you see the message all of the world issues are trying to show you and the rest of humanity?

Can you see how ultimately interconnected and ‘one’ we are?

Can you see steps you can take yourself to help others see it too?

While you may believe you are only one person, remember that together each of us can create the change we want to see.

If it helps, when I get discouraged about the state of the world, I remember the good being done in the world, and I ultimately see what the bad is desperately trying to show me and all of us. When I remember the good and the message, I am inspired to continue to write and speak about our interconnectedness. When I remember the good and the message, I remember that although I am only one person, I can help to make a positive difference. So can you!

Remember, together we can create a better tomorrow for all.
