It is not WHAT you do that matters. It’s WHY you do what you do that matters.

Quote - “It is not WHAT you do that matters; it’s WHY you do what you do that matters.” – Lisa Layden

Every action you take is a WHAT in response to a WHY.

The WHY is the REASON behind the ACTION you take.

But sometimes what you believe is the WHY is not the real WHY because you are looking at it from the perspective of the ego.

To unearth the real WHY, you need to dig down into the reason your ego gave you to find the ROOT WHY.

The ROOT WHY is the true WHY of the ego, and that root will be based on either FEAR or LOVE.

Once you know the ROOT WHY you will look at that ACTION (and other ACTIONS you take) with a new understanding.

You will begin to pause before taking ACTION to first unearth the ROOT WHY and then decide if you want to continue with initial ACTION or take a different ACTION – an ACTION that is rooted in LOVE, not FEAR.
