Is your flock guiding you in the right direction?

Flock of flying Canadian Geese.

While I was out on my bike the other day, I came across a large gathering of Canada Geese that had landed in a field.

Canada Geese are a close-knit group and it’s not uncommon where I live to see several groups hanging out together in a field at the same time. They are very protective and look out for each other at all times to help their offspring and the group flourish. When they fly, they create a large ‘V’ formation ensuring all are heading in the right direction.

Watching them, I was inspired to write this article…

Is your flock guiding you in the right direction?

As humans, we like Canada Geese, belong to flocks. Our flocks are the people we choose to surround ourselves with. Family, close friends, neighbours, the people we work with, socialize with; the people we go to for advice.

Take a moment to reflect on the people you choose to surround yourself with; your flock.

As you do, keep in mind keep in mind that what you experience in your life is the result of your predominant thoughts in action and this includes the people in your flock.

The people in your flock are a reflection of what you believe about yourself.

Do you choose to surround yourself with people who support and inspire you? Who encourage you, and see the best for you that you may not be able to see for yourself yet? Who love you not from a place of judgment, but from a place of encouragement and oneness?

Do they help to steer you in the direction you would like to go; the vision you see for your life (not theirs)?

Do they truly want what is best for you?

Are they just a little ahead of where you would like your life to be?

Do you feel empowered when you are with them?

Ideally, the members of your flock are a champion for you, you as are for them.
