What time is it where you are?

I ordered a watch online a few weeks ago and was super excited when it arrived last week.

Why?

Well, it’s not your typical watch.

As you can see by the photograph, there is no hour, minute or second hands on the face.

In fact, there is nothing on the face that signifies standard measured time at all.

It simply says “now”.

I love this watch because it helps to remind me (and others when they ask me about it) that the only time we have is now and to be present in the moment of NOW.

NOW is the only time we are in at any given time.

Contrary to what our mind will try to have us believe with its endless chatter of going over past experiences and creating ‘what-if’ future scenarios (often both at the same ‘time’), the only time we have and experience in this present moment is ‘NOW’ time.

The past is simply a recollection of something we experience as having happened prior to NOW time.

The future is not yet experienced (nor guaranteed) and as such is a potential vision we create in our mind.

Here’s a little experiment you can do to illustrate this….

As you go about your day, take notice of when your brain engages in its own chatter about something that happened in your past, or you start thinking about your future, take a moment and pause and be present in the moment of NOW.

How?

If you can (if you are in an area where you feel comfortable and it safe to do so), just stop for a few moments.

Close your eyes and take a deep slow breath in……and then let it out slowly. Do this a couple of times if you need to. Become aware of the very moment.

Once you connect with that, you will experience the moment of NOW time.
