There is only ONE human race
When I hear the words “Black Race”, “White Race” etc. I want to lose my mind.
I cannot believe that we are in the 21st century and yet so many people are still under the misunderstanding that skin colour equates to a different race of human.
It’s time for a Global Mindshift.
There is NO scientific basis for different human races. The belief in different human races is a social construct enforced with social conditioning. It has NO biological basis.
There is only ONE human race.
Believing a person is a different race of human because of the colour of their skin, would be as uneducated as believing a person is a different race of human because of the colour of their hair, their eyes, or any other physical attribute differences.
Using terms like “Black Race”, “White Race”, etc. not only displays our ignorance, it both directly and indirectly perpetuates this false belief in different races of human; a belief in different species so to speak.
By using these terms, we are creating a slippery slope of normalizing this belief.
When said often enough and long enough, the belief in different races can become accepted as truth rather than the false belief it is.
If we have any hope of resolving world issues like prejudice, racism, discrimination, inequality, etc, we must to let go of the ignorance that skin colour defines race.
We must let go of the use of terms like “Black Race”, “White Race”, etc. (and by default, "racism").
Categorizing people by generalized skin colour and attaching the word “race” creates division not unity. The word “race” is this context implies prejudice. Prejudice based not only on skin colour but also on what one associates with the skin colour – ie ethnicity, culture, background, etc.
By eliminating the terms “Black Race”, “White Race”, etc. we position inclusion, equality and respect for all.
We must educate people to understand that there is only ONE human race.
Only then, can we begin to make the world a better place for all.
It’s time.
I call on all world leaders, educators, parents, caregivers, and journalists to help educate others so we can stop with this nonsense.
I call on everyone to call out others (with compassion, understanding and education) when they make racist, prejudice and discriminatory remarks, when the use the term “black race”, “white race”, etc.
I call on everyone who understands there is only one human race to take this into account with their voting and purchasing power.
Together we can create a global Mindshift.
Together we can end discrimination and inequality.
Together we can create a better world for all.
It’s time.
