Are you giving your ego a hard time?
As you awaken more and more and see that you are creating your reality, are you finding that you are giving your ego a bit of a hard time?
It happens and it’s a normal part of the first stages of the awakening process.
As part of the awakening process, you will begin to see the role that your ego has been playing in your life experience.
As you do this, you may perceive your ego as having been a little too full of itself, lacking in confidence, or somewhere in between.
When this happens, you may become a little ticked at yourself (your ego) and wonder how you could have let it control so much of your life experiences. (Which is actually the ego being critical of itself, but that’s a story for another day).
You may wish or try super hard to live your life devoid of your ego.
It’s time for a MindShift Moment.
Being awakened is not about trying to live without your ego.
It’s about understanding the purpose of the ego, living your life from this understanding and being in balance with all you are.
You are a highly complex being.
You have the physical aspect of you, the inner aspect of you, and you have the connection to ‘all that is’ aspect of you.
Your ego is a part of who you are in this lifetime.
Quite simply, if your ego did not serve a purpose you would not have one.
You have an ego for a reason.
Your ego is that aspect of yourself that lets you experience life in this physical reality; in this physical realm.
If you didn’t have the ego you wouldn’t be able to discover more about who ‘you’ are (the individualized ‘you’ and the collective ‘you’).
It is the ego that has you take chances are not take chances. It is that ego that allows you to embrace life or to push life away. It is the ego that falls in love with someone else and rejects another. It is the ego that experiences the perception of abundance and lack.
Without your ego, you wouldn’t be able to fully “experience” life as you know it. You would simply “be”.
Understand your ego.
So it’s not about beating your ego up or trying to live without your ego. (These are all signs of living from the ego).
It’s about understanding the role it plays, recognizing how it is helping you to move forward or hold you back from all you are meant to be in this lifetime and having a strong balance and connection with all aspects of yourself – the ego, the inner-self and the collective ‘all’ that you are infinitely connected with and a part of.
How about you?
